Hi all,

I am complete newbie to AP but am willing to learn about it and perhaps use it to some degree.
To introduce myself a bit: I'm the mother of a 7 month old baby boy. Even though he's our first, I've had quite a lot of experience minding babies and children. However, it has always involved a lot of routine and I'm open to learning about new ways of doing things.
With the baby and all the other duties of life, I don't have a lot of time for reading so can someone explain the basics of AP in a nutshell? The little I know about it seems to completely contradict the way I would be used to caring for a child but I am open-minded and willing to learn another way.

follow your insticts. have you looked into an LLL or attachment parenting group in your area. its always nice to have a human face to discuss with rather than only books. plus it can provide the support necessary for every new parent especially if AP is new to you. good look on your parenting journey. follow your heart and respond to your childs needs as it feel right to you.
