Hi everyone,
My name is Carmen. I am Spanish living in Ireland with my husband (Irish) and my 3 kids aged 8 (nearly 9 ), 7 and 4. I have been reading for months the Attachment Parenting International forum and I am really glad to find this one in Europe, specially because it has a Spanish section. I discoverd AP when my DS was born and I found out that it was OK to breastfeed him for 2 years, carry him on a sling and let him sleep in my bed. And I did it and really enjoyed, even though it wasn't the same type of parenting of my closest friends.
Now, as the kids grow up I find it is a little bit more difficult to keep connected, specially when my quick Spanish temper comes out to surface ( quick to shout also ), and I always end up regreting it. I hope this forum will help me to keep this under control.
Kate, last year I went to some of your meetings in Ballycane, but I had to stop because I couldn't make it anymore . Are they still going on?
As we are going tomorrow on holidays I won't be able to reply. Talk to you in 3 weeks please God.
Carmen, mamá to Monica (8), Miriam (7) and Alexander (4)
