What does it mean for you to have a balance between you and your partner?Do you spend time together speaking, reading, seeing a dvd, taking a cup of cofee?
Just I like to know how persons on this forum (ap parents) like to have time together.

Hi Chiara,

I can understand your question, every now and then I wonder wether we should plan time together or something like that, especially since you read so much about the importance of quality time with your partner in all babyrelated magazines... But since we don't like to bring our daughter to a babysitter unless we really have to (both grandma's babysit at most a day in the week, when I'm working), it hardly ever comes to planned time together. But now that DD is one and a half, she can play on her own for some time, while we sit in the sun and have a drink, or just talk a bit. Further we like to go for a long walk (with DD in her buggy and the dog in tow) on sundays, when we're both free, or for a ride on the bike, so activities that we can do as a family, but that leave us enough opportunity to talk or be quiet together.
I must confess that we seem to have a lot less couple-time than parents who do not do AP and just feel free to bring the baby to daycare in order to have time together, but on the other hand we are actively enjoying our family time together!

Greetings, Nienke
